We Brits all love a good afternoon tea, and with standard sandwiches, champers, and scones available all over London, it’s fair to say anything different that pops on the scene is worth some investigation.
Enter K West Hotel’s Creme Egg burgers. They’re available as slider-sized treats on the hotel restaurant’s dessert menu, or come as part of the Spring Rocks afternoon tea.
Because what better way to celebrate all that is good and holy about our Lord and Saviour this Easter than with a burger which will more than likely contain your daily sugar allowance in one bite and may possibly send you straight onto the path of Type 2 diabeetus. PRAISE THE LAWD!
So what is this delight? BEHOLD…
The mini burgers consist of a sweet brioche bun slathered in white chocolate and dotted with hundreds and thousands. In between is the burger, a melted Creme Egg ‘patty’ which sits on top of mascarpone cream and a spoonful of strawberry jam. It sounds DIVINE.
Included in the afternoon tea are mini hot cross buns, scotch quail eggs, savoury sliders and mini hot dogs, as well as the traditional freshly baked scones and loose leaf tea.
The Creme Egg burger will be available from the end of March. It’s £5.50 for two, or £22.50 for the Spring Rocks afternoon tea. If you manage to get your hands on one, let us know! If you prefer something more savoury, why not take a look at Fortnum & Mason’s Chotch Egg?
